Hi there, Thanks for asking for feedback about the kits. Ive attched two photos.. Never having made anything from willow before! I made the tension tray first and really enjoyed making it! The course instructions were excellent and clear. I will say that I had trouble with the willow being flexible enough. In the end, it needed about 6 hours in water but I got there eventually! I used the basket course willow to make a few more trays plus a few wreaths for friends and family. I am completely hooked honestly! I attempted to make a basket using your instructions but with different willow. Again, great clear instructions, Im talking about willow all the time now, I just love it and want to improve with each make. Thank you for introducing me to this wonderfull heritage craft. Brilliant. Fantastic. Highly recommended The videos were really easy to understand. They broke each step down into small easy to perform steps. The instructors say when something might be tricky so you can watch several times. The kit itself was brilliant with everything you need (bar the tools). Although not perfect it was really straightforward to produce a basket that was good enough for us and to give away. The support from the company is excellent.

I finally got the first of my baskets made! Made a few tweaks, some by choice, others borne out of necessity ‍♀️ I've # myown2hands in the post on Facebook, so with luck you will be able to see it. I've attached a few photos. Thoroughly enjoyed making it and am now chomping at the bit to get started with the rest of them now! I followed your tips with soaking and had a much better result this time too. Thank you again for a great kit.

I was very excited to make my basket which was a totally challenging, absorbing and most enjoyable experience. My advice is to allow yourself lots of time, plan an easy dinner as it takes way longer than you think. Read the troubleshooting part before starting and make sure you acclimatise, soak and mellow long enough. I think I made every mistake and have the oddest shaped basket but I love it and can’t wait to try another one.

I managed to finish my basket and am chuffed to bits with it. To make something so solid and strong out of twigs is amazing. I’m so pleased. Here’s a photo of end result which has some interesting curves and shapes. I nearly gave up after the first French rand but gave it another go and tried to ease out my funny shapes. I’m so glad I did. Anyway thank you so much.

What a great experience! I ordered the shopping basket kit and course (with a bonus free tension tray kit) and really enjoyed making it. I made the basket over the course of a weekend and the online step by step video lessons were easy to follow and full helpful tips. My basket is not perfect, but the first attempt at anything new rarely is. If you are looking to try something crafty I highly recommend trying a course from My Own 2 Hands.

I spent a very lovely Sunday finally working through the basket that Nick bought me for Christmas from My Own 2 Hands. My finished product is a little wonky from some angles but I really enjoyed it and want to do more!!

I have just completed the willow tray and fruit basket courses. They are wonderful - informative and brilliantly put together to make even the beginner feel like a pro! My First weaving project! Had a My Own 2 Hands weaving kit from Mum for Christmas. Really fun to do, With great video instructions. And the basket, Whilst not Exactly the right shape, is strong and will serve for many a foraging trip

I just wanted to share with Amanda the course teacher how much I have loved her teaching, and making the shopping basket under her calm tutorage. I’ve had such a good experience I needed to share it with you. I’ve always wanted to do basket weaving and it the first time I’ve found the right combination of simpatico teacher with an affordable accessible approach that I can return to when I’ve got the time. I so loved the calming, centre-ing process and how it was hard work for the hands but kind on the rest of the body. And I LOVE my basket! As soon as I’d finished I picked it up and went to collect the last of my windfalls. Isn’t that an amazing moment?!

I gave my mum your shopping basket course for Christmas and have spent the last 2 days with her while she completed her basket. We had a really special time together and mum loved it. I finished my basket yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyed it, I will be ordering another kit soon. I was very impressed with the quality of the instruction. My husband was also impressed and is going to try the spoon carving course. The instruction was clear and we'll delivered. It felt like Amanda was in the room and she's a lovely presence to spend time with. I will definitely be making more baskets in the future. This one will come foraging with me in the summer.
